Revenova formalizes integration with Highway to protect against fraud
Chicago, Ill. – With the new Winter ’25 release, Revenova launched an upgraded integration with Highway, adding the carrier onboarding and fraud detection SaaS provider to a litany of Revenova partnerships.
“We want to provide our customers with best of breed solutions,” David Lazar, Revenova’s Product Manager who helped put the integration together, noted. “Highway was one that, for obvious reasons, was a solution that we should add to the arsenal. They’ve built a lot of functionality around fraud detection. We’ve heard a lot of customer satisfaction with the product and their differentiators in terms of fraud detection and the customer success approach that they take. As some of our customer base started to leverage their customized integration, we received a lot of positive feedback on the solution.”
For years, some Revenova TMS users took advantage of Highway’s technology through a custom integration, built by the Highway product team to Revenova’s open API through Salesforce. Now with an integration built by both the Highway and Revenova teams, the formalized integration will grow in strength and functionality as both products grow.
“Fraud is a growing challenge in the logistics industry, and we are committed to equipping our partners with tools that make a real impact,” said Michael Caney, Chief Commercial Officer of Highway. “This integration with Revenova underscores our shared vision to help businesses operate more securely and efficiently in an increasingly complex environment.”
As fraud has seemingly taken a greater hold across the supply chain industry, Revenova added Highway as yet another solution customers could use to identify potential bad actors. Prior to joining the Revenova team, Lazar worked as a broker and knows fraud has spread.
“I was in the brokerage world for about five years, up until about 2017, and there was fraud out in the industry,” Lazar said. “However, over the last five years or so, it almost seems like it’s something that every broker is running into. Unfortunately, while advancement of technology for logistics has been a huge help in the industry’s growth and footprint, it’s also enabled some bad actors to be more successful as well with their nefarious activities. When a solution pops up in the industry that people say is really helping them to tackle the issue of fraud, that’s obviously something that we would want our customers to be able to leverage.”
As the integration provides another solution for Revenova customers, Lazar explained exactly how it will help RTMS users.
“Through our integration, we’ll create account pages, transportation profiles, bank account records, and contact information. We’ll pull in insurance policies, equipment information, all of the data that you would want to know behind a carrier. Who is this carrier? What type of equipment do they move? What type of services do they run, their safety scores, making sure that they are above board in terms of authorizations and what they’re hauling for you, so on and so forth,” Lazar explained.
“Our partnership with Revenova represents the power of collaboration in addressing critical industry issues like fraud,” Caney stated. “By formalizing this integration, we’re enabling mutual customers to harness the full potential of our fraud detection and carrier onboarding solutions, making their operations more resilient and informed.”
